The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) is a national independent was established in 1982 as a non-profit and membership organization for women in media.
It was founded prior to the UN Women’s Conference held in Nairobi in 1985, when the voices of women received little or no attention in the media.
The organization’s mission is to see a society in which the media embraces and promotes equitable development, human rights and women rights.

- Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning (MEAL) Consultant
Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities
The jobholder must ensure a proper execution of the following tasks:
- Develop and implement a robust MEAL framework aligned with project goals Design data collection tools and methodologies to track project progress of the participants and impact of the project
- Monitor project implementation to ensure adherence to work plans and budgets.
- Prepare progress report of the participants and conduct evaluations to assess project effectiveness.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Provide recommendations for improving the project implementation and achieving desired outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements of AMWIK Recruitment 2024
The qualifications and requirements needed for the 2024 recruitment exercise of AMWIK are as follows:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or International Development.
- Candidates must have a practical experience providing monitoring and evaluation on digital platforms and use of digital platforms.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience in project implementation and project management consultancies for NGOs.
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Candidates must have an experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including logical frameworks, theory of change, and results frameworks.
- Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Candidates must have a strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
- Candidates must possess the ability to multitask, work within given deadlines/schedules, and attention to detail.
