WAEC GCE Result Checker 2022 – The West African Examination Council (WAEC) board has announced to the general public, and especially, candidates who registered for and took part in the examinations or individuals who have family or friends who took part in the examinations, the release of its West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates (which is popularly referred to as the WAEC General Certificate Examinations GCE) result and have made them available online.

This article has been put together to inform you that the result are out and can be accessed and viewed online and also to give you detailed and precise information on the steps involved in checking for your result, having it printed out or sent to your mobile devices (phone, laptop, etc.).

As earlier stated, the Management of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) had earlier announced the release of its General Certificate Examinations (GCE) result that had been taken early this year, and candidates that took part in the said examinations have been urged to proceed to the WASSCE GCE portal to check their results immediately.

How to Check  WAEC GCE 2022 Result Online

Step 1 – On your mobile devices (your phone, laptop, etc.) browser, visit the WAEC GCE Result checking portal at www.waecdirect.org.

Step 2 – In the field provided, type in your 10-digit WAEC GCE Examination number (it is a combination of your 7-digit center number, which is then followed by your 3-digit candidate number. For example, 4040319 and 042, to have 4040319042.

Step 3 – Next, type in the year you took your WAEC GCE examinations, i.e. 2022.

Step 4 –You’ll see displayed on the screen the ‘Examination type’ options the screen. Choose PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT.

Step 5 – Type in the correct card serial number that can be found on the back side of your WAEC GCE scratch card.

Step 6 – Type in the numbers tagged ‘Personal Identification Number’ that you will find on your scratch card.

Step 7 – Tap on ‘Submit’ and wait for a little for the result to be loaded and displayed on the screen.

Important Notice

The serial number and result checker Personal Identification Number (PIN) that you need to check your result can be found on your Smart Identity Card used during your examinations.

How to Check WAEC GCE Result Through SMS

If you would rather check your WAEC GCE 2022 Result through the short message service (SMS) option, here is a simple way to go about it.

The format to use is WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear, then send it to the shortcode 32327 (for MTN, GLO, and Airtel Subscribers).

For instance, WAEC*4040319042*0123456789101*2022.

NOTE: ensure to follow the format outlined above strictly so that you’ll be able to access and view your result. Do not allow any space in the text you’re sending.

Note also that you’ll be charged an airtime amount of N30 only for your result to be delivered to you, so recharge your SIM before checking.

Lastly, note that your scratch card can be used 5 times only.
